Wisconsin Students Celebrating National FFA Week
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 02/19/2018
It's National FFA Week, which means agriculture students throughout the state will be busy promoting their favorite organization in a variety of ways. The celebration is held annually during the same week as George Washington's birthday, who himself was a
life-long farmer and leader of our nation.
State FFA President Ciera Ballmer says the Wisconsin FFA will be holding daily social media contests throughout the week.
"Wisconsin FFA is excited to celebrate the National FFA Week with a Daily Photo Challenge," Ballmer told Wisconsin Ag Connection. "We'll also be celebrating National FFA's Alumni Day on Wednesday and Wear Blue Day on Friday, along with a
variety of activities through local chapters."
The state FFA officers will be facilitating workshops and chapter visits, helping chapters with school assemblies and visiting with legislators at the State Capitol in Madison this week.
Nationally, FFA reaches out to all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Wisconsin has nearly 21,000 members from 250 chapters in high schools across the state.
