Animals Perish in Brown County Barn Fire

A weekend barn fire has killed about 17 head of young cattle in Eastern Wisconsin on Saturday, but 100 of the farm's dairy cows were safely moved to another operation.
According to authorities, the blaze was first reported on a farm in the Brown County Town of Kaukauna on Highway D.
Greenleaf Fire Chief Glenn Geurts said the barn was a total loss and was burned so badly it may be impossible to determine the cause of the fire.
No one was injured in the blaze.
The owner of the farm was on vacation at the time.
