Wisconsin Students Earn DHIA Scholarships

Three recent high school graduates from Wisconsin have been named winners of the Joe Drexler Memorial Scholarship from the National Dairy Herd Information Association. Marcus Schroepfer, Birnamwood; Tyler Swoboda, Sheldon; and Colin Wussow,
Cecil, were selected for the award by the DHIA scholarship committee.
This year marks the tenth consecutive year for awarding a scholarship in memory of Joe Drexler, who worked for NorthStar Cooperative DHI Services.
Meanwhile, the National DHIA Scholarship committee also selected 22 other high school seniors and college students as recipients of $1,000 scholarships this year. From Wisconsin, Emma Gwidt, Pulaski; Marie Haase, Somerset; Erica Helmer, Plymouth; and
Brooke Trustem, Evansville, were recipients in 2017.
NorthStar members and employees, friends and family contributed over $10,000 to establish this scholarship fund.
