Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Offering Scholarships
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 02/25/2014

The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation will be offering more than $9,000 in scholarships to outstanding students pursuing undergraduate degrees in 2014.

Program coordinators say scholarships are awarded to students based on demonstrated personal growth, development and leadership, academic performance, financial need and future educational goals with specific criteria for designated awards.

The 2014 scholarships will be given in the areas of agriculture, leadership, community service, animal sciences and natural resources.

To be eligible, students must have been a 4-H member for at least one year; have a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale; be enrolled or planning to enroll in a university, college or technical school during the 2013-2014 academic school year; and meet any other eligibility requirements specific to the individual scholarship.

"We are excited to offer these scholarship opportunities to current and past Wisconsin 4-H members," says Wisconsin 4-H Foundation President Valerie Johnson. "Because of the generous support of our sponsors, numerous students throughout the state will be better equipped financially to obtain their long-term goals of higher education--continuing the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation's mission of supporting Wisconsin's greatest resource: our youth."
