Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/02/2015

A Wisconsin Farm Bureau member from Rock County was among 10 outstanding young farm leaders honored last week by the American Farm Bureau as graduates of the Partners in Agricultural Leadership class. Jillian Beaty, who works as an agricultural education instructor at Oregon High School in Milton was recognized during AFBF's Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C.

Beaty grew up working on her parents' vegetable and agri-tourism farm in Ohio, where she still assists each summer with public relations. She is a former state FFA officer and a graduate of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Institute leadership course.

PAL is designed to help agricultural leaders accelerate their leadership abilities and solidify their roles as advocates for agriculture.

To be eligible for the PAL program, applicants must have previously developed leadership skills built through participating in at least one Young Farmers & Ranchers program.
