CRI's Purchase of MofA Now Final
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/03/2014

The acquisition of MofA, formerly known as Minitube of America, by Cooperative Resources International is now complete. The company stands as the third subsidiary of the Shawano-based CRI, along with AgSource Cooperative Services and Genex Cooperative, Inc.

MofA is one of the world's leaders in the development, manufacturing and marketing of artificial insemination and embryo transfer products and technologies for the porcine, bovine, equine and canine industries.

"The purchase of MofA is the largest single step CRI has taken to further increase our influence in production agriculture," says CRI CEO Doug Wilson, CRI CEO. "The subsequent expansion of CRI core business areas continues to set this organization apart from the rest of the industry."

MofA was founded by Ludwig and Becky Simmet in 1986. Headquartered in Verona, MofA also maintains facilities in Mexico and Canada and markets products in several countries around the globe.

Simmet becomes the Chief Operating Officer of the new CRI subsidiary.
