UW-Madison Short Course Scholarship Deadline is April 1
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/08/2010

April 1 is the deadline to apply for scholarships to the University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course. Program coordinators say scholarships are targeted for students interested in attending the Wisconsin School for Beginning Dairy and Livestock Farmers, a FISC program in which students participate in seminars and other learning activities focused on the management of grazing-based dairy or livestock farms. WSBDF students are mentored by experienced graziers, business leaders and UW-Madison experts, and many of them get internships on Wisconsin dairyand livestock farms.

Among more than 80 Short Course scholarships available are a number endowed specifically for WSBDF students. Most offer tuition assistance, but some help cover costs involved with internships.

For those not seeking a scholarship, registrations for all Short Course programs, including WSBDF, will be accepted through October 1.
