Edelburg Elected Vice President of NFU

A Waupaca County dairy producer has been elected to the number-two spot on the National Farmers Union board of directors. Patty Edelburg of Scandinavia was chosen as vice president of the group during its annual convention in Kansas City this week.
She told her fellow NFU members that she hopes to bring a fresh perspective to the organization and aims to get young people more involved.
Edelburg has been active in the Wisconsin Farmers Union for over two decades, where has spent 12 years on the WFU board. She also served as the director of the Wisconsin Farm Service Agency for part of 2016 and was a member of the state and county
Patty is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She and her husband Gary operate a 350 acre dairy farm, where they milk 120 cows along with their two teenaged children.
NFU delegates also re-elected Roger Johnson as president for another one-year term.
