Gamblers Hockey Team to Hold Dairy Promotion Contest
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/08/2013
Wisconsin agriculture students can earn a little cash for their FFA chapters while having a little fun at a Green Bay Gambler Hockey Game later this month. The team is partnering with Pagel's Ponderosa Dairy Farm and the Dairy Steering Committee in sponsoring a contest where students can submit a Milk
Mustache picture of themselves and write a 250 word essay on 'What kind of job would I like to have in the dairy industry and what is my plan to be involved.'
The first place winner will earn $1,000 for their FFA Chapter and three individuals who will be selected as first, second and third runners-up will be awarded $750, $500 and $250, respectively.
The Gamblers will also provide the winner with four tickets to a luxury suite for the game at the Resch Center. They will also receive a Gamblers jersey, drop the ceremonial puck, and be interviewed on the ice during the second intermission.
Organizers say these hockey matches usually bring in large crowds, which makes a great opportunity for public relations.
The deadline to submit your entry is March 26 and the game will be held March 30.
Entries for the competition should be sent to the following address:
