Pesticide Applicator Training Slated for March 25
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/10/2010
A Pesticide Applicator Training session is scheduled to be held at the Dunn County Ag Center in Menomonie later this month.
The course takes place March 25 at 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. According to retired Agriculture Agent Jim Faust, the training session is required for producers doing their own spraying.
The program covers pesticide laws, pesticide labels, safety, Integrated Pest Management, container disposal, equipment calibration and groundwater protection.
If your Pesticide Applicator License is due to expire this year, be sure to sign up for the above session soon. Materials should be picked up at least one week before the session in order to prepare for the
written exam.
Because of space limits, attendance is limited to the first 25 people.
Producers must come in to the Extension Office to pre-register and pick up materials. Cost is $30 per person.
