Irrigation Management Workshop Planned for March 27

The Chippewa County UW-Extension Office will host an Irrigation Management Workshop on March 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Peoples State Bank in Bloomer. The program will focus on water and energy management, irrigation scheduling, and yield and economics.

Speakers and topics will include John Panuska, UW-Extension, Biological Systems Engineer, 'Water Management and Scheduling,' Scott Sanford, UW-Madison Rural Energy Program Biological Systems Engineer, 'Energy Demand When Irrigating,' and Jerry Clark, Chippewa County UW-Extension Crops and Soils Educator, 'Yield and Economics of Irrigation Systems.'

The cost to attend the workshop is $5.00, which includes materials and refreshments. Three CCA soil and water credits are available. Pre-registration is encouraged by calling the Chippewa County Extension office at 715-726-7950.
