Goats Lost in Marathon County Barn Fire
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/13/2018
A fire in central Wisconsin over the weekend destroyed a barn and claimed the lives of eight goats that were being housed in the structure.
According to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department, the blaze broke out Sunday evening on a farm in the town of Emmet.
Fire crews say it took three hours to extinguish the fire. Authorities say the blaze was apparently started by heat lamps that were being used to heat the building.
A tractor and a pickup truck also were destroyed in the fire.
There were no other injuries reported.
