CO-OPS YES! Youth Leadership Conference Scheduled in April

The CO-OPS YES! Youth Leadership Conference will be held April 14-15 at the Hotel Mead in Wisconsin Rapids. The program is for Wisconsin. High School students in grades 10, 11, and 12. The event is sponsored by the Wisconsin Federation of Cooperatives, which offers an opportunity for young people to develop an understanding and appreciation of the purpose, operation and scope of cooperative business.

A snack cooperative will be formed and operate during the conference. Students will also learn from speakers with powerful messages about leadership and the value of cooperation. And, CO-OPS YES! will provide students with an opportunity to develop new friendships and meet youth leaders from Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The cost of the conference is only $160 per person. The registration fee covers food, lodging, speaker fees, conference t-shirt, and educational materials.

WFC members have received information about the conference, and we anticipate they will be asking for help in selecting students to attend. If you have students who want to attend the conference, but no cooperative has contacted you about sponsoring a student, please feel free to contact the cooperatives in your area.

Complete registration forms with payment and signed parental permission must be received at the Wisconsin Federation of Cooperatives office no later than March 21.
