UW-Madison Saddle & Sirloin Club to Hold Lamb Show
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/14/2018
The University of Wisconsin-Madison's Saddle & Sirloin organization is once again holding its Badger Bonanza Lamb Show this spring. The show draws youth and their lambs from Wisconsin and surrounding states.
The competition, scheduled for April 29 at the Public Events Center in Arlington, gives youth the chance to get their lambs into the ring early in the show season. It is a sanctioned show by the Wisconsin Club Lamb Association, however it's open to non-WCLA
members as well.
Organizers hope to encourage youth by teaching them responsibility, while generating interest in animal agriculture through hosting the show.
The Grand Champion Lamb and Reserve Grand Champion Lamb will be awarded cash prizes. Class payouts will be similar as past years and showmanship classes will be offered with prizes awarded to the winners of each age category.
