PDPW Dairy Signal; Grazing Practices, Robotic Calf Feeders, Policy

This week's episodes of The Dairy Signal® from Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) will share insights that will impact farmers at both their farm and across the industry. The Tuesday episode will feature ins and outs of grazing dairy heifers, and on Wednesday two dairy producers will share their experiences working with robotic calf feeders. Thursday's session will offer an update on dairy policy and industry happenings from Washington, D.C.

March 21 -- Elevate soil health and bottom line by grazing dairy heifers. Tune in for a discussion of best practices that will deliver benefits for your animals and land. Episode presenter will be Jason Cavadini, Grazing Specialist and Certified Professional Agronomist, UW-Madison Extension.

March 22 -- Considering robotic calf feeders? Join this panel discussion of dairy producers who will share their experiences, including pros, cons and what they would do differently. Episode presenters will be Amy Penterman, Manager, Dutch Dairy LLC, and Jordan Ebert, Ebert Enterprise.

March 23 -- Learn about the latest happenings in dairy policy at the national level and what industry leaders will be watching for the rest of 2023. Episode presenter will be Jim Mulhern, President & CEO, National Milk Producers Federation.

The Dairy Signal is a weekly series of educational episodes offering practical insights and resources for dairy farmers and food-system professionals across the value chain. Developed by dairy farmers and members of the PDPW Board, the episodes air live from 12 to 1 p.m. Central each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
