Fox Valley Tech Hosting Farm Tour in April

The agriculture department at Fox Valley Technical College is hosting its 69th annual Farm Tour next month in the Waupaca area.
The April 10 itinerary includes stops at Quantum Dairy, which will show off its double 45 Germania parallel parlor, free-stall barns and sand preparation system; and Brooks Farms's double 16 herringbone Germania parlor, five-row naturally ventilated free-stall
barn, state-of-the-art maintenance shop, and Holm and Laue automatic calf feeding system.
Organizers say the tour is open to anyone interested in effective agriculture production practices, new dairy cattle housing and milking facilities, and employee management.
A tour bus will depart from St. Nick's Church in Freedom and FVTC's Chilton and Clintonville Regional Centers at 8:45; Seymour Post Office and Railroad Junction Restaurant in Forest Junction at 9:00 a.m.; Crystal Falls Restaurant and Banquet Hall at 9:10
a.m. and FVTC's Waupaca Regional Center at 9:40 a.m.
