Wisconsin Student Wins Veal People's Choice Award

Wisconsin had seven entries in this year's State Collegiate Veal Culinary Competition. This year, students were challenged to create a unique recipe that would fit a restaurant appetizer menu.

Jasmine Bylander from Chippewa Valley Technical College won with her Sticks and Dip creation. Bylander advanced to the national contest against five other state winners and tied for the People's Choice award.

As part of the competition promoted by the Wisconsin Beef Council, students watched a virtual veal farm tour to learn about modern veal practices before crafting a recipe.
