Clark Co. Committee Now Selling Alice in Dairyland Finals Tickets

As preparations for the 67th Alice in Dairyland Finals in Clark County are being finalized, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture is reminding the public that tickets are now available for various events.

The annual banquet and selection finale will be held May 17 at the El Norteno Banquet Hall in Curtiss, which includes a reception at 4:30 p.m. with the finalists and former Alice in Dairyland ambassadors. The meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the finale will follow at 6:45. The cost to attend the banquet is $20 per ticket.

The selection program will also be Webcast live on Wisconsin Ag Connection, which is being sponsored by Badgerland Financial, Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board and Foremost Farms USA.

Meanwhile, the public is also welcome to attend the Question and Answer Dinner on Friday, May 16 at the American Legion Hall in Loyal. The social hour begins at 6:00 p.m. with the dinner and program to follow. Tickets are $10 per person to attend Friday evening.

This year, six finalists will be vying to be the 67th Alice in Dairyland. They include Allyson Binversie, Manitowoc; Zoey Brooks, Waupaca; Katie Dogs, Watertown; Kristin Klossner, New Glarus; Melissa Ploeckelman, Stetsonville; and Whitney Rathke, Fredonia.

Alice in Dairyland is a full-time public relations employee of DATCP and serves a one-year contract term. The selected Alice will begin her duties in June traveling Wisconsin to promote agriculture through speeches, media interviews and classroom presentations.
