Wood Co. Farm Tech Committee Raising Funds for 2018 Show
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 04/17/2017

A group of volunteer committee members helping to organize the 2018 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in Wood County are now in the process of raising money for next year's event. Fundraising Committee Chair Scott Krum says his group needs to secure a large amount of monetary and in-kind donations to operate the three-day outdoor farm show, which is scheduled for July 10-12, 2018 near Marshfield.

"We are off to a good start," Krum said. "We already have several large dollar sponsorship commitments and have a number of other asks out there, but there is still a lot more to do."

Krum says businesses and individuals can donate at various levels and will receive sponsorship recognition in return, based on the amount they give. He adds that the committee is also looking for in-kind donations.

"We need to order things like wood chips and other supplies to prepare the grounds for Tent City," he adds. "This is especially the case for our food tents. It would be nice to have items like milk, cheese and meat donated to help save on expenses."

Farm Technology Days is being hosted next year by the Daryl and Brenda Sternweis family and the Ken and Joellen Heiman and Kelvin and Marilyn Heiman families.

This year's event will take place at Ebert Enterprises, which is a large dairy farm near Algoma in Kewaunee County.
