Another Winter Storm Hits Northern Wisconsin
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 04/17/2014

A monster snowstorm is hitting the upper parts of Wisconsin and Minnesota this morning, adding to the record amounts of snowfall the state has received so far this winter. The Twin Cities has already seen 100 inch snow since last November, with Duluth measuring over 118 inches.

The National Weather Service was expecting between 12-14 inches of snow to fall in northwest Wisconsin from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning, with wind gusts exceeding 30 miles per hour.

This is the third snow storm in less than three weeks for the area. Many farmers have not yet been able to start their fieldwork in most areas of the state.

Meanwhile, forecasters say spring may arrive in time for Easter this weekend. Temperatures will be back in the 40s and 50s by Sunday, and could be in the 60s for next week.
