Wisconsin Ag Connection - 04/17/2014

Plans are underway for the 19th annual Association of Women in Agriculture's Breakfast on the Farm. The event will be held on April 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Stock Pavilion located on the UW-Madison campus.

This year's theme for the breakfast is 'AWA Breakfast on the Farm: Where Families and Agriculture Meet.'

The country tradition includes a home-cooked breakfast, including pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, applesauce, milk, coffee, juice and a sundae for dessert.

Participants can enjoy the petting zoo, educational activities, a visit from Bucky Badger, live polka music, and a clogging performance.

Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens (65+), $5 for students (K-UW), $3 for children ages 5 and under. Attendees can get a dollar off admission by bringing three canned food items to donate to the Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin.

The Association of Women in Agriculture is a professional, service and social student organization at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
