Child Injury Prevention Workshop Being Planned for August
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 04/19/2018

A national workshop that will help America raise its next generation of farmers has been scheduled for this summer in Marshfield. The National Children's Center, which is part of the National Farm Medicine Center at Marshfield Clinic Research Institute, is in the process of planning the Child Agricultural Injury Prevention Workshop on August 14-15.

The workshop is designed for farm organizations, insurance professionals, healthcare providers, Extension, agribusiness, public health officials and media.

"By working with other organizations we can get the information and resources to farmers and ranchers, enabling them to implement safety strategies," said NCC Director Marsha Salzwedel. "Protecting our children needs to be a priority. A youth dies in an agricultural incident about every three days in the United States."

The workshop will be limited to the first 60 registrants. An early bird deadline has been set for July 1.
