State Fair Park Foundation Holding 5K Race for Cream Puffs

Need a little motivation to get some exercise? Then you may want to put on your running shoes and head to Milwaukee this summer for the second annual 'Cream Puff 5K' at Wisconsin State Fair Park. The run/walk is being hosted by the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation, where participants will be rewarded with an Original Cream Puff, as well as a post-race beverage and a free ticket to this year's state fair.

The event will take place July 19 at 6:30 p.m. Once the last person crosses the finish line, there will be live music at the Budweiser Pavilion.

Organizers say the 3.1 mile course includes the famous Milwaukee Mile Speedway and streets within State Fair Park. The event will be both kid- and stroller-friendly, and offer a 1K option for those who prefer a shorter route.

Registration is $35 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under until June 1.
