Calves Put Down After Being Attacked by Dogs
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 04/25/2018

The owner of two dogs is facing charges after his animals attacked a group of young dairy calves on a farm in Grant County last week.

Sheriffs deputies say the dogs entered a dairy farm on Thursday morning in the town of Little Grant and began attacking the young Holstein animals.

A veterinarian had to put down nine of the calves because of the injuries they sustained.

The dogs eventually ran off, but authorities tracked them down and charged their owner for allowing untagged dogs to run lose and having dogs that caused injury without notice.

The owner has agreed to pay for the damages his dogs caused.
