UWRF to Host Seminar on Marketing Livestock

Experts from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture will present a seminar focusing on effective ways to market livestock next month at the school's Mann Valley Farm.
The program takes place May 18-19 and will focus on beef and pork carcass evaluation, quality and yield grades, beef quality assurance, and labeling requirements.
Attendees will also tour Sailer's Food Market and Meat Processing, Inc. in Elmwood on Friday to obtain an inside look at the operation of five generations of successful meat processing.
The cost to attend the seminar is $75 per person and includes supper on Friday and breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
