Former DATCP, DNR Communications Director Moves to WI DOA
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/04/2016

The former communications director for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture and Department of Natural Resources will now take on a similar role at the Department of Administration. Jim Dick has been appointed to the position after working many years in various state government capacities.

DOA Secretary Scott Neitzel says Dick will be instrumental in helping inform Wisconsin residents about the important operations of DOA.

"Right now the department is continuing to successfully implement the state's new computer program, STAR," Neitzel said. "We are assisting the Wisconsin Center District in negotiations with the Milwaukee Bucks on a potential new arena, moving forward with Venture Capital, and working to reduce the amount of physical space state government occupies. Jim will provide information to the public regarding these ongoing efforts, and will be working closely with other hardworking DOA employees to ensure we are being a good steward of taxpayer resources in all of the department's duties."

Prior to joining state service, Dick worked across the country in broadcast journalism including at NBC in New York, where he was the Executive Producer for news on the Today Show. He moved to Madison nearly 18 years ago to take on the job of news director for NBC 15. He also worked for the Wisconsin Radio Network and traveled the state writing and producing the Discover Wisconsin television show.
