Kesler Named 2016 Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/14/2016
Wisconsin's 50th Fairest of the Fairs is Gloria Kesler from Calumet County. The Menasha native was crowned Wednesday night in Wisconsin Dells after competing against 38 other contestants for this year's title. As Fairest of the Fair, she becomes the spokesperson for the Wisconsin Association of Fairs, where she will travel to many of the state's county, district and state fairs this summer. The reigning 'Fairest' also serves as the official hostess of the Wisconsin State Fair each year.
Kesler is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where she is studying agriculture education and photo journalism. She was also named Miss Congeniality last night at the Wisconsin Association of Fairs' annual convention at the Chula Vista Resort.
Gloria replaces outgoing Fairest of the Fairs Deanna Schlies of Denmark in Brown County.
Meanwhile, Sydney Endres of the Lodi Ag Fair was named first runner up, with Emily Watson of Walworth County being second runner-up. Racine County's Jenna Franseen was third and Emma Wagner, Marquette County, was
fourth runner up.
Bob Meyer, Gail Zastrow and Stacie Kristle served as judges for the competition.
