UW-Madison Short Course to Hold Campus Alumni Day
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 05/01/2014

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course is inviting its alumni back to school next month for a special reunion.

Guests will gather on June 7 at DeJope Hall at 10 a.m. A program will then feature CALS Dean Kate VandenBosch, Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association Board President Bryan Renk, FISC alumnus Bob Behnke, current FISC students and of course, Bucky Badger and members of the UW Marching Band.

After lunch, attendees can choose one of four campus tours: D.C. Smith Greenhouse, the newly renovated Dairy Cattle Center, behind-the-scenes at Camp Randall Stadium, or a look at Jorns and Humphrey Halls, the FISC dormitories.

"We are excited to welcome our alumni back to campus for a great program, insider tours of some campus facilities and the opportunity to network with each other," says FISC Interim Director Jessie Potterton. "Campus has changed quite a bit in recent years and we look forward to highlighting some of those changes."

Information can be found at http://fisc.cals.wisc.edu/alumni/reunion or call 608-263-3918. Early registration is encouraged to secure a spot in the optional tours. Tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

Established in 1885, the FISC is the longest running agricultural education program in the state.
