PDPW Announces Speakers for Weekly Dairy Signal
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/17/2022

The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.

On Tuesday, Dr. Ryan Pralle, who is an assistant professor with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville School of Agriculture, will talk about metabolic issues that impact transition cows, specifically ketosis and fatty liver. He will also discuss practical strategies farmers can implement to prevent and manage these issues.

Dr. Tom Earleywine with Land O’Lakes Animal Milk Solutions will be Wednesday's presenter. He will demonstrate how to handle and store colostrum and explain more about the complexities of what makes it so crucial to getting calves off to their best start.

And on Thursday, Economist Dan Basse of AgResource Company will be back with his biweekly update on news and analysis of agricultural markets that will impact dairy producers and the ag industry.

All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from www.pdpw.org. They are streamed live at 12:00 noon or available on demand for later playback.
