Walworth Co. to Host 2020 Alice Finals; '21 & '22 Also Announced
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 05/21/2019

Tradition has it that the county next in line to hold the Wisconsin Alice in Dairyland finals is announced along with the naming of the state's newest agricultural ambassador each spring. But in a break from the norm, the Department of Agriculture also unveiled the two succeeding host counties as the program builds up to its 75th anniversary.

"We're just a few years away from our diamond celebration, so we want to start getting people excited for that milestone in advance," Ti Gauger told Wisconsin Ag Connection, who is the program manager for the Alice in Dairyland Program.

During last week's Alice finale in Monroe, DATCP announced that Walworth County will coordinate the annual event in May 2020. Dunn County will hold the festivities in 2021. And in 2022, Dane County will help celebrate the 75th Alice finals week.

Started in 1948, Alice in Dairyland is a communications professional who works to educate the public about Wisconsin agriculture. Each year, a new ambassador is chosen from a group of candidates during an extensive public job interview process.
