Wisconsin Ag Connection - 05/18/2016
The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin will begin its next World-Class Webinar Series next month on finance and economic trends in the dairy industry. Dr. Dave Kohl, professor emeritus at Virginia Tech and columnist for Corn & Soybean Digest will
facilitate the two-part webinar.
The first program, being held June 8, will focus on positioning your dairy for economic success. This webinar will first examine the state of global and domestic trends that will continue to influence the industry regardless if you are an established dairy, a startup operation, or one in transition. It will also challenge the mindset of the industry which could be pertinent to strategic business planning by answering ten of today's most commonly asked questions by dairy farmers.
On July 6, Dr. Kohl will cover financial and management strategies in the dairy economic reset by explaining various tools for producers to utilize in this economically challenging phase. In addition, he will explain key financial metrics as well as ways farmers and lenders
can strategize side by side to develop solutions for this economic period.
All presentations will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The cost to participate in the on-line interactive program for PDPW members is $100 per registered computer. Non-members can join in for $125. There is no limit to the number of people who wish to share one computer for the program.
