State Red & White Dairy Cattle Breeders to Earn Recognition
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 05/22/2019

The Red and White Dairy Cattle Association has announced the recipients of its 2018 annual awards, where two of the top winners are from Wisconsin.

This week, the breeder group named Milksource Genetics LLC of Kaukauna as the winner of the Larry Moore Master Breeder Award for its outstanding breeding program and support of RWDCA programs. Milksource breeds Holsteins, Red & White Dairy Cattle and Jerseys and has one many of the top awards at dairy shows like World Dairy Expo and The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Canada.

Earning the Gary Mayhew Keystone Award this year will be Nancy Sell of Watertown. This award is presented to a grassroots member that has given dedicated support to the Red & White breed. Sell is active with her home farm, Sellcrest Farm, and serves as the promotions manager for the RWDCA.

Other award winners include Flower-Brook Holsteins, Hamburg, MN, which earned the J.P. 'Doc' Ostrander Young Breeder Award; and Verlo Dewall of Illinois, recipient of the Don Albrecht Distinguished Service Award.

The awards will be presented at the RWDCA National Membership Meeting in Appleton next month.
