April All Milk Price Falls to $14.00 Cwt.

The Wisconsin all milk price for April was $14.00 per hundredweight, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report. That's $4.10 lower than last month's price and $3.90 below April 2019.
The U.S. all milk price for April was $14.40 per cwt., 40-cents higher than Wisconsin's price, but $3.60 lower than the previous month. All of the 24 major milk producing states had a lower price when compared with March.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $2.23 per pound on May 29, while barrels were $2.02 per pound. The CME butter price was $1.66 per pound.
For the week ending May 23, the Agricultural Marketing Service U.S. weekly 40-pound block cheese price averaged $1.37 per pound, and 500 pound barrels adjusted to 38 percent moisture averaged $1.37 per pound. The U.S. butter price was $1.41 per pound.
