Other Commodities Take Price Hit, Too

The average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin during April was $3.10 per bushel. According to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, that was down 41-cents from March and 36-cents below the previous April.

Soybeans were 17-cents lower at $8.13 per bushel and fell 10-cents from a year ago.

Oat prices averaged $3.59 per bushel--33-cents above the March price and 19-cents more than April 2019.

And the all hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $163.00 per ton, down $11.00 from March and $23.00 below last April. The alfalfa hay price averaged $171.00 per ton, down $9.00 for the month and $22.00 for the year. The other hay price averaged $136.00. That fell $17.00 from March and $29.00 below 2019's price.
