Lake Geneva Country Meats Earns International Honors

The leading international trade fair for processing, packaging and sales in the meat industry has presented its Cup of Honor Award to a Wisconsin meat processor. Lake Geneva Country Meats won the award, along with 11 other medals from the IFFA Quality
Competition held in Frankfurt, Germany.
"I'm proud to be able to accept these awards on behalf of our entire company. Winning international awards, in addition to the numerous state and national awards we have previously won, speaks to the exceptional quality of products we have at Lake Geneva
Country Meats," said Company President Scott Vorpagel. "Our production team, led by our Wisconsin Master Meat Crafter Jeff Schmalfeldt, works very hard to make these products and I am happy to see their efforts rewarded with international recognition."
Due to customs regulations, Americans were unable to bring products to Germany for judging, so those products were evaluated at a similar event in Madison this year.
All entries were graded on appearance, consistency, smell and taste. The competition received more than 300 entries from 15 states.
