PDPW Celebrating 25 Years of Service in 2017
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/17/2017

One of Wisconsin fastest-growing farm organizations is celebrating a major milestone this year. The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin will be turning 25 during its annual business conference in Madison this spring.

"When PDPW came to life, it was at the hands of a small group of people passionate about revitalizing a slumbering dairy economy," said former PDPW President Hank Wagner. "A lot can happen in 25 years, but one thing that hasn't changed for the producer-driven organization is its mission to share ideas, solutions, resources and experiences to help dairy producers succeed."

He adds that PDPW's membership has outgrown the expectations of its founding members--which now days includes small and large producers from 38 states.

"The common thread that binds these producers is their drive toward continued growth, success and forward thinking," he said.

The headliners and keynotes of this year's forum include Ag Economist Dr. David Kohl, Ag Economics Professor Dr. Lowell Catlett, Communications Trainer Tom Thibodeau and Olympic Hurler Jim Abbott. Former farm broadcaster Bob Meyer will emcee the week's festivities, which will also include entertainment by The Henningsens.

Organizers say the conference will include 74 expert speakers and 61 educational sessions, along with 25 specialty and breakout sessions. The trade show will also include more than 200 exhibitors and displays.

The PDPW Business Conference will be held March 15-16 at the Alliant Energy Center. For more information or to access registration materials, go to: www.pdpw.org or call 800-947-7379.
