Area Farms to be Part of WFTD's Innovation Square in Eau Claire
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/17/2020
Visitors of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days this summer in Eau Claire County will have the opportunity to see agricultural production in action while strolling through the exhibits in Innovation Square. Located in the heart of Tent City, Innovation Square will be
made up of displays representing five diverse farm operations that raise everything from produce to fish.
"The Chippewa Valley area is a truly diverse agricultural area, with deep roots and a proud heritage of innovation and ingenuity across its many different farms," said Andy Ferguson, who chairs the Innovation Square Committee. "Farmers and the general public
alike will be amazed at the presentations our five exhibitors are putting on for Farm Technology Days."
The farms include Chippewa Valley Bean Company, the largest kidney bean grower and processor in the world; Ferguson's Orchards, one of the region's largest commercial apple growers; Penterman Farm, a 350-cow dairy farm and home of Marieke Gouda
cheese company; Silver Spring Foods, the world's largest grower and processor of horseradish; and Superior Fresh, the world's largest aquaponic farm.
Farm Technology Days will be held July 21-23 at Huntsinger Farms near Eau Claire.
