Pokorny Named CAO of Wisconsin Farm Bureau
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 06/16/2020

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation has named a new permanent chief administrative officer. Kim Pokorny will oversee all day-to-day operations of the Madison-based farm organization after serving as the executive director of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association since 2008, as well as leading the Food Armor Foundation. Prior to WVMA, she also served as a program manager for the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin.

"I'm thrilled to bring my expertise and passion for agriculture to the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation," Pokorny said. "I look forward to working with the staff, board and members to develop opportunities and solutions to advance agriculture in Wisconsin. I'm grateful for the opportunity to return back to my roots in agriculture."

A native of Monroe, Kim grew up on a registered Brown Swiss farm. She has a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where she majored in animal science with a minor in agricultural economics; and holds a MS in agricultural industries. After college, she began working for Morgan&Myers as a public relations representative for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.

Pokorny begins her duties on August 17. She succeeds Dale Beaty, who left the organization in March.
