Wisconsin All Milk Price Hits Record $27.40 in May

For the second consecutive month, the Wisconsin all milk price has set a new all-time record, reaching $27.40 per hundredweight during May. According to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, that was 30-cents above last month's price and $7.60 more than last May. Prior to this spring, the previous all milk price record for the state was set in September 2014 when it reached $26.60.

The highest May milk price in the nation was found in Idaho where producers received $27.80, followed by California's $27.50.

Meanwhile, the U.S. all milk price was $27.30 per cwt., 10-cents lower than Wisconsin's price, but 20-cents higher than last month's U.S. price.
