Wisconsin Farmer is a Finalist for Corteva 'Power to Do More' Contest
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 06/12/2019
Corteva Agriscience has announced the top finalists for its 'Power to Do More' contest, which includes a producer from Kewaunee. Dave LaCrosse of Peninsula Pride Farms is one 10 farmers in the nation chosen to compete for the honor, in which
the winner will get to select a nonprofit organization of their choice to give a $10,000 donation toward.
Organizers say hundreds of farmers submitted entries, where they had to show creativity and commitment to growing a stronger community in their photo and story about the power on their farm. The finalist with the most online votes on
PowerToDoMore.com will win the contest.
"The hundreds of submissions we received in this year's contest proved that farmers are some of the most creative, caring and hardworking community leaders," said Lyndsie Kaehler, the corn herbicides product manager with Corteva. "We are so
proud to tell the stories of farmers who have extraordinary passion for their communities."
Voting is open to the public and closes July 8. In addition to the grand prize, two farmers will win runner-up prizes of $5,000 each for their selected nonprofit organizations.
