Farmers who are looking to learn more about soil science, pest management and new findings in agronomy may want to sign up for a special field day later this summer at the University of Wisconsin-Arlington Ag Research Station.

The event takes place August 24, where attendees will hear from experts talking about changes in soil test potassium levels over winter, cover crop options in Wisconsin, profitable ways to sequence your crop rotation and characterizing soybean yield advancements.

There will also be sessions on alfalfa/grass mixtures, revisiting potato leafhoppers in alfalfa and managing your tractor to save fuel.

In the afternoon, Matt Digman, a biological systems engineering with UW-Madison, and College of Agriculture Dean Molly Jahn will talk with the group.
