Major Dairy Exhibit to be Unveiled at State Fair Park
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 06/17/2019

Visitors to this year's Wisconsin State Fair near Milwaukee will get to see a newly completed mural depicting the rich diversity of the state's dairy industry. A team of artists are nearly finished painting the 4,500-square-foot piece on the lower cattle barn.

The mural is the first element of a new interactive exhibit called 'Dairy Lane,' which was developed by the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board. The project is made possible by a $100,000 gift from the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation.

Dairy Lane will navigate fairgoers through places where dairy intersects with their lives. It replaces the House of Moo, and is said to be the most extensive enhancement to the fairgrounds in more than a decade.

"With Dairy Lane, the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation saw a new opportunity to create an enhanced experience for the more than one million fairgoers who attend the fair every year," said WSFPF Board President Mike Wojciechowski. "Through art and education, this important project speaks directly to the mission of the foundation and we can't wait for children of all ages to experience it in just a few weeks."

For those who want to see the mural before the fair, an unveiling and check presentation will take place on June 18.
