Feit Hired to Lead United Cranberry Growers Co-op
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 06/12/2012

The recently-formed United Cranberry Growers Cooperative has hired a new executive director. Tim Feit will be responsible for running the day to day operations of the Wausau-based group, which is an agricultural cooperative of independent cranberry growers.

Feit is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the UW-Oshkosh. He has spent the past six years directing the marketing efforts of the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association as its promotions director; and has over 20 years of experience in marketing.

"Many of the challenges facing independent cranberry growers are similar to those facing growers in the potato and vegetable industry," Feit said. "I look forward to working with UCGC members to seek out opportunities that will allow them to remain economically sustainable."

The UCGC was formed in June 2010. The co-op's mission is to promote and increase the sale of cranberries worldwide, while being a leader of independent cranberry growers.
