Farm Technology Days Kicks-Off in Eau Claire County
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/20/2021

Eau Claire County is the place to be this week as thousands of agricultural producers, industry professionals and local consumers head to the 67th Wisconsin Farm Technology Days near Eau Claire. Huntsinger Farms and Silver Spring Foods, which are known for being the world's largest grower and processor of horseradish, will host the three-day exposition.

The festivities kick-off at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday with opening ceremonies in the Rural Events Tent, where Gov. Tony Evers and State Ag Secretary Randy Romanski are expected to be among the speakers. Visitors to the show this week can take part in tours, educational workshops and have a chance to talk to exhibitors ranging from equipment manufacturers to seed companies. FFA students will also be in town competing in the state's annual tractor safety contest.

Other presenters in the Rural Events Center on Tuesday include Chris Kroeze, Alice in Dairyland Julia Nunes, and Mad Dog & Merrill.

Farm tours will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., where attendees can see the Huntsinger Horseradish operation, Nellie Holsteins Dairy, or Ferguson's Apple Orchard.

Weather reports say attendees can expect mostly cloudy conditions with high temperatures in the mid-80s on Tuesday.

The show runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission costs $10, with three-day passes being $25, and a five-person family pack for a single day at $40. Children under 12 are free.

This is the second time Eau County is hosting Farm Technology Days. When it last hosted the show in September 1992, heavy rains forced organizers to cancel the second and third days of the event.
