Franke & Estrada Join Mayer Farms/Folk Song Farm Events
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/13/2020
Mayer Farms Beef and Folk Song Farm Events, which are enterprises owned by Dwight and Shelly Mayer of Slinger, have announced the hiring of a new sales and marketing specialist. Emily Franke of Oakfield will help manage events, inventories, staff, and
develop marketing efforts for the farm.
Franke is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she is double-majoring in Dairy Science and Life Sciences Communication with a certificate in Agricultural Business Management.
And the Mayers have also extended an internship opportunity to Mariah Estrada. She will obtain hands-on learning that promotes curiosity and a deeper understanding of farming, animal husbandry, and agri-tourism that can only be learned in practice.
Estrada is a native of Denver, Colorado, and is currently a junior at Colorado State University working toward a degree in Animal Science.
Mayer Farms Beef is a seven-generation farm that sells meat directly from the farm to the consumer. Folk Song Farm Events is an on-farm venue that hosts weddings and other gatherings for people and groups in southeast Wisconsin.
