This is Wisconsin Vineyard Week!

The state is kicking off the beginning of the grape harvest season with the celebration of Wisconsin Vineyard Week. This second annual event was officially proclaimed last year by Gov. Tony Evers to be held during the third week in July.
The Wisconsin Grape Growers Association says Wisconsin has a long history of European immigrants who brought their specialty crops and crafts to the rich agricultural fields in the state.
Industry officials say the wines produced from Wisconsin's cold climate grapes have won numerous prestigious gold medal awards at some of the nation's most respected wine competitions.
WGGA is inviting the public to learn more about grape and wine production during the Wisconsin Vineyard Week, which will be celebrated through July 18.
