Badgerland Financial Names Summer Interns
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 06/29/2016

The Prairie du Sac-based Badgerland Financial has announced the names of its student summer interns for 2016. The program provides each student with an opportunity to further prepare for a career in agriculture while pursuing their education.

"Our intern program is a great opportunity to invite top-notch students to Badgerland Financial, while exposing them to the diverse agricultural customers we serve in rural Wisconsin," said Badgerland CEO Diane Cole. "Many of our past interns have gone on to great careers in agriculture, including some who have joined our staff on a full-time basis. We are proud to have these students as part of our Farm Credit association."

This year's interns include Josh Bruckert, Sauk Prairie; Sara Griswold, Black Earth; Kayla Krahn, Brillion; Scott Lenius, Poynette; Rachel McDonald, Janesville; Travis Pluim, Waupun; and Shanna Sweeney, Edgerton.

Cole says Badgerland hires interns in several of its departments, giving students from varied backgrounds the opportunity to explore career opportunities in lending, crop insurance, tax, accounting and appraisals. All interns are given the opportunity to visit customers' farms, giving them a first-hand opportunity to learn more about the continuing need for credit and related services in today's agricultural industry.
