Other Commodity Prices Mixed in Wisconsin

The average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin during May was $3.57 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report. This was up seven-cents from the April price and nine-cents more than May 2015.

Soybeans averaged $9.69 per bushel, up 70-cents from last month and 29-cents above a year ago. Oats were down a penny $1.64 per bushel, and fell $1.29 from 2015.

All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $82.00 per ton in May, down $7.00 from April and $46.00 lower than May 2015. The alfalfa hay price averaged $90.00 per ton, down $6.00 for the month and $46.00 for the year. The other hay price averaged $55.00, down $12.00 from April and $31.00 below May 2015.
