Summer Ag Teachers Conference Being Held in Green Bay
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 06/27/2011
Local high school and post-seconary ag teachers will have plenty to talk about at their annual meeting this week in Green Bay. The Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators is holding its summer conference at the KI Convention Center, where members will discuss issues and concerns relating to budget cuts
at their area school districts and plan for the coming year.
Attendees will also hear from speakers like Paul Vidmar, who is a Dale Carnegie Solutions trainer, and Nina Crutchfield with the National FFA Organization. Updates will be given from leaders of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation, Wisconsin Agri-Business Council and Wisconsin FFA Alumni.
The annual conference allows agriculture instructors to network together and share ideas. The event is also used to help keep teachers certified in their areas of expertise.
The meeting wraps up Thursday with an awards ceremony and election of new officers.
