Wisconsin Students Earns DHIA Scholarships

A recent graduate of Bonduel High School has been named the 2015 winner of the Joe Drexler Memorial Scholarship from the National Dairy Herd Information Association. Kaila Wussow from Cecil was selected for the award by the DHIA scholarship committee.
This year marks the seventh consecutive year for awarding a scholarship in memory of Joe Drexler, who worked for NorthStar Cooperative DHI Services.
Kaila is the daughter of Ron and Nicolle Wussow. She is active in sports and many clubs in her high school and spends much of her time showing Jersey dairy cattle.
Meanwhile, the National DHIA Scholarship committee also selected 21 other high school seniors and college students as recipients of $750 scholarships this year. From Wisconsin, Sierra Solum, Rice Lake; and Deanna Zernicke, Bonduel, were recipients in 2015.
NorthStar members and employees, friends and family contributed nearly $10,000 to establish this scholarship fund.
